Slovarm regularly participates at trade fairs in Slovakia and Czechia. And when the offer came from a partner - Chuděj, s.r.o, - to participate at the XVI. Expoconstrucción y Expodiseňo trade fair, Slovarm was delighted to accept. This year, the trade fair took place in the Colombian capital Bogotá on November 23-28. The participation of Czech and Slovak companies was ensured by the Czech Trade agency in cooperation with the Czech Embassy in Colombia.
Slovarm was seen and heard
The
trade fair focused on construction and design, with Slovarm's
presentation area in a pavilion targeted at final components. Despite
the on-going global pandemic situation, the trade fair was very well
organized and had high attendance.
As well as the presentation of Slovarm's portfolio, its representatives also had dozens of meetings with potential Colombian business partners. The expedition from Myjava also attended Ambassador Kateřina Lukešová's reception at the Czech Embassy. This was also attended by the head of the economic and trade section at the Czech Embassy, Bohdan Malaniuk, and the director of the Czech Trade office in Colombia, Pavel Eichner.
The trade fair's atmosphere was very
lively, and end customers showed strong interest in Slovarm products.
Product quality, bathroom/kitchen studio range, and the rest of the
portfolio were highly rated. Our specially-prepared marketing and promo
materials also played an important role in this success.
Panama business forum
Slovarm
arrived in Panama via other activities, and a meeting promised a
completely different view of business than in Colombia. Compared to
Colombia, Panama is a very expensive country that likes to emphasize its
connection to the U.S. And that's justified, because the Panama Canal
enables the country to build on its good logistics and offer attractive
conditions for investors.
The visit's official programme began on November 30 at the Presidential Palace, where Slovarm had meetings and presentations with the public sector, and a meeting with the government organization ProPanama, which supports foreign investment in Panama.
In the afternoon, Slovarm representatives presented the company at a business forum. That concluded with the official inauguration of the Honorary Consul for Czechia - Abraham Sofer Balid, thanks to which he contacted Elmec, part of a luxury bathroom fittings chain. The meeting with Elmec's owner was interesting and very welcoming. Over the next few days, Slovarm and Czech Trade representatives attended other meetings with potential trading partners in Panama.
Enthusiasm and energy also sells
Slovarm
thanks its whole team that supported the preparations, the Czech Trade
Agency, Pavel Eichner, and employees of the Czech Embassy and Bohdan
Malaniuk, Chuděj - represented by Miroslav Chuděj and Karel Hák, who
made it possible.
After a series of meetings with potential trading partners, both Colombia and Panama certainly have long-term trade potential for Slovarm.
Ing. Viera Čuvalová Janigová, Slovarm's sales director observed: “Both events once again illustrated what business is about. Business is now more challenging, and conditions are changing and becoming more and more demanding. The pandemic situation hasn't alleviated the situation either. But it's still mainly about hard work, building relationships, and investing energy. Without the enthusiasm, energy and determination to set new goals, business cannot be done.”
