The companies´ Open Day for Slovarm and Slovplast employees and their families has been held for the third time already. Hundreds of children and their parents met on the football field in Turá Lúka on June 8th to enjoy sunny weather, tasty goulash and number of other treats. Among those the most celebrated was the football tournament between the two companies with a professional sport presenter Janko Žgravčák from RTVS (Radio and Television of Slovakia).
As in the years before, also this time the Open Day started in the SLOVARM fitting factory. Guided by the trained personnel the families and children of the employees could use the opportunity of the ”open door” to inspect on the company´s premisses which are normally closed to the public. The same entertainment was then offered by SLOVPLAST at their premisses. Then the visitors moved towards the football field in Turá Lúka.
The exhibition tournament between three teams brought a number of fans to the stands, decorated by slogans in order to motivate the champions. Men and women alike, the sportsmen in the colors of SLOVARM and SLOVPLAST put their blood, sweat and tears into the game. Their performance was eloquently interwoven by the comments of a professional sport presenter and host, Ján Žgravčák. It was also thanks to these comments that the players could feel, just for a moment, like real football starts. They fought like lions, paying everything back with interest. The winners´gold went, in the end, to the hands of SLOVARM II consisting of the trade and purchase departments, leaving SLOVOPLAST team with their well merited silver. The members of the last team of SLOVARM I from its warehouse and production departments, fought as they might, couldn´t defeat their opponents and took the bronze.
Simultaneously to the tournament there were also some other interesting activites happenning around. In the Kids´Zone the two she-clowns from Ovo Šaškovo entertained the youngest group of visitors with the help of various games, competitions, dancing and singing activities, ending up in dozens of faces running around painted all the time. The day was nicely ended by a refreshing Foam Disco Show – and who didn´t feel like dancing, Bouncy Castles offered some jumping fun, or you could try and test your skills on a Climbing Wall. All the doors were open and no access denied on the Open Day.
The weather played our game as well and didn´t let a single drop to spoil the fun. Here and there the omnipresent sun managed to leave some red tan, to be dealt with afterwards. Nevertheless, prizes were plenty and so were the happy recollections of the day - bottles of Champagne, decorations and saussages for the footbal teams, packed sweets and chocolate gifts for kids and a free pass to the upcomming Folclore Festival for all those who came. May the prizes bring the bearers as much enjoyment, as there was to be had on the SLOVARM and SLOVPLAST OPEN DAY 2018.
